No, but it is STRONGLY recommended that you do. You will not be able to participate in the welcome party or other wedding activities outside of the reception if you do not stay at Xcaret. Xcaret hotel includes many amenities and follows an all-fun inclusive concept, meaning that not only are food and drink included in your stay, but also includes is entrance to all Xcaret parks, excursions, transportation to and from those excursions and the airport, a ferry to Isla Mujeres and so much more.
